Week of May 25, 2020

I have booked vacation next week from my day job... but it’s not remotely close to a vacation, it’s a busy week! This weekend will be lots of meeting prep!

Monday - Thames Centre Council. Here’s the agenda: https://tc-egenda.middlesex.ca/files/agendas/800121/ and you can watch live here at 1:00pm: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUcYRQ2TbTk29NTohtmKdjg.

Tuesday - Middlesex County Council. Here’s the agenda: https://egenda.middlesex.ca/files/agendas/261/ and you can watch live Tuesday at 1:00 here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSlRBMaSUbravUhLTjSKc9A.

Wednesday - Middlesex County Economic Resiliency Taskforce. Here is the plan we have come up with in order to help our local businesses weather through COVID19, and how we can help them: https://rb.gy/pxlipp . Even moreso, here are the results of the second business survey on how respondents told us they are impacted by COVID19 here in Middlesex County: https://rb.gy/pqbhzg

Thursday - a day off! Who am I kidding? I know I have something on, but the meeting hasn’t been officially called yet 🙂

Friday - I am a guest speaker on a panel for SiberXChange, a live virtual summit on 5G and Innovation across Canada speaking on rural Internet infrastructure. I’m actually really excited about this opportunity as access to reliable Internet in rural areas is something I’m passionate about. See my SiberXChange blog post for more details!

Since I have you here and you’ve made it this far, a couple small reminders: 1) Do you know someone who is deserving for our Community Spirit Award? Nominate them here: https://www.thamescentre.on.ca/community-spirit-award 2) Also, please don’t forget to fill in our transit survey for our pilot project launching this fall (COVID dependent 🤦🏼‍♀️): https://www.middlesex.ca/ctsurvey
