Last Friday, Premier Doug Ford announced that only certain construction projects that were deemed “essential” under very stringent regulations were allowed to move forward. After further advisement, we have been given permission to move forward with the full demolition of the previous Thorndale Lions Community Centre due to public safety. Our local business, MCI Design-Build Corporation, will be completing the work which will start by early next week.
The Thorndale Community Centre Master Plan Advisory Committee is making efforts to meet electronically, as early as this coming week, and more details will be made public regarding the full scope of the project after the Committee meets.
