This morning on my way to work I stopped and picked up some beer cans and bottles someone decided to throw out on my road. Yesterday, I received a message from a resident of someone who has dumped garbage on their road. But, there has to be good from the bad, and that included me seeing the Gerrits’ kids who cleaned up a whopping 7 grocery bags of garbage along their roadway, and cashed in on some beer cans and bottles! Cleaning up our roadways and community is the perfect way to do something during our social distancing times, and makes our community look better!

So, from now until May 8th, send me a picture of your kids (grandkids, nieces, nephews, etc!) and their haul from what they have collected cleaning up our community, and I will put together a prize pack for them! You can post it in the comments below, email a picture to or send me a message here! Winners will be randomly selected!

ps. I can’t believe I have to say this in 2020, but PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE!!
